I love nail polish, the hundreds of bottles can attest to my love of the expression of beauty, and having hundreds of bottles of nail polish can be pretty challenging when it comes to keeping it on for more than a few days. So... drum roll please, I decided to force myself to keep nail polish on for a week...7 whole days, and I decided to do it with diy gel nail polish.
The products I've used are below
"Gelous"
The incredible gel polish
"Sleeping Under The Stars"
The beautiful navy polish with red shimmer.
"Seche Vite"
Glossy, fast drying miracle top coat.
The application was simple

My experience
After you put the last gel application you have to wait a while.. I mean a while... Almost 1 hour for all the layers of polish to dry completely.
The morning after
My nails didn't look good.. I won't say they looked bad, but the shine was gone, and they were a little smudged and had some pretty bad sheet prints all over them.
I applied another layer of topcoat on my nails and it smoothed out the mess, I waited for that to dry and my nails looked great.
Day 1 Day !
Day 3
Day 5
On day 5 there are no chips, no lifting and the nails aren't as shiny, but they still look good and with some top coat, they can look great again. My nails feel strong, hard and wonderful. I'm itching for a new color, but I'm going to wait the full 7 days before I change polish colors.
These are all 3 of the products mentioned.
All were bought at Sallys Beauty Supply
China glaze "sleeping under the stars)was $6.49
Gelous was $5.00
Seche Vite was $8.00
